Man hat mit immer mehr Regeln doch eh schon fast Einheitsautos hervorgebracht. Und was Einheitsautos auszeichnet ist eben, dass sie dieselbe Performance haben! Wenn man den Hersteller etwas mehr Spielraum gibt, werden unterschiedliche Konzepte entwickelt und selbst wenn die Autos dann auf eine Runde gesehen gleich schnell wären, würde das eine Auto auf der Geraden schneller sein und das andere in Kurven. Sparen sparen sparen… Ich will Turbo’s gegen Sauger fahren sehen und entweder stufenlose Getriebe oder wieder zurück zu manuellen Getrieben! Stufenlose Getriebe würden der Serie sehr viel bringen. Da kann man noch viel neues erforschen um höhere Drehmomente bzw. Leistung übertragen zu können.
Die F1 wird immer teuer bleiben. Man kann doch genauso gut Windkanäle verbieten! Die Teams entwickeln immer filigranere Aerodynamik Pakete. Und hilft das dem Spektakel? Nein. Der Fan will den Unterschied HÖREN! Es war doch ein Ohrenschmaus den letzten Ferrari V12 Motor hochdrehen zu hören! Wenn man einen weiteren Zusatzflügel sieht ist das alles andere als ein Augenschmaus. Und selbst wenn - den Zuschauer interessiert das herrzlich wenig!
Die Autos brauchen mehr Leistung und weniger Grip. Und noch mehr Luftwiderstand um nicht zu schnell zu werden. Mehr Luftwiderstand bedeutet auch mehr Windschatten.
Man sollte einen Weg finden die “Aerodynamikkosten” einzudämmen um das gesparte Geld wieder in Motoren, Getriebe und andere technische Konzepte zu investieren. Die Aerodynamik könnte für den Fan nicht uninteressanter sein. Viele Fans aber sind technikbegeistert und wollen die LEISTUNG der Hersteller wieder sehen!

Austrian Desserts: Reisauflauf

Ingredients (3 to 4 persons)
125 g of rice
125 mL of milk
salt
grated cinnamon
50 g of butter
50 g of sugar
3 eggs

What Reisauflauf is
A simple rice cake that is served hot as a dessert or main - the term “Auflauf” generally refers to a variety of meals that are made in casseroles and baked in the oven.
It is a simple dish that is easy to prepare.

How to prepare Reisauflauf
Boil the milk and add all spices.
Boil the rice in it until it is soft.
Mix the butter with the sugar until foamy, stir in the yolks and mix all with the rice.
Whip the egg white until stiff and mix them with the rice-dough.
Grease a casserole or frying pan and coat it with some breadcrumbs.
Then put the dough into it and bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 40 minutes until golden-brown.
Cut it into cubes and serve with chutney or fruit stew.

Windows XP was freezing and starting up really slow so I decided to add another (the 3rd) hard drive to just install the operating system and the programs on it to make the next clean install (I figured that it just HAS to be done after a while) much less of a headache.

I didn’t have to look very long. (see below the listing from craigslist)

The cool thing was that it had a frame on top of it with 2 cooling fans! Since me GPU was running pretty hot (80° +), I just took the frame off the hard drive (I don’t know why it was on it in the first place) and took the fans out. I placed one on the heat sink of the GPU and the other one on the heat sink of the graphics card. I don’t know why it is running so hot. But the fans cooling it down to 72°. It still seems hot but it’s better than before

So now everything is working smooth and fast again.

Tomorrow is Remembrance Day. Since it’s a Tuesday, Sicom decided to take the Monday off and work on the holiday instead.

So we were bored and decided to take a walk. We browsed the Aldergrove thrift store “Hello Again”. They had quite a few nice books for Amelia in good shape for 25 Cents each. We also got an answering machine for 5 dollars and a clothes rack for 10 dollar (new). All of that was for half price so we paid 10 bucks for all of it.
